Awesome Kong comes to the Funking Conservatory’s !BANG! TV Taping Sunday October 26th to face “The Claw,” Claudia Reiff. Gail Kim was the last to hold the Funking Conservatory Women’s Championship and now Gail Kim’s commitments to future endeavors have resulted in her relinquishing her title and belt to the Funking Conservatory Board of Directors. The Funking Conservatory Board of Directors have decreed the re-claimed Funking Conservatory Women’s Championship will be on the line when “The Claw” and Awesome Kong step into the ring. This will be the most important wrestling match for Claudia “the Claw” Reiff and fully deserved. “The Claw” came to the Funking Conservatory with a degree in Physical Education from the University of Miami with the desire to become the best wrestler that she can be. As a professional wrestler few can match the Claw’s accomplishments. “The Claw” has wrestled many of the top stars in the business and holds pinfall victories over Gail Kim, Lexie Fyfe, Sumie Sakai, and Missy Hyatt. Gail Kim is ranked # 3 woman wrestler in the world by Pro Wrestling Illustrated Magazine. Awesome Kong is currently ranked # 1 woman wrestler in the world by Pro Wrestling Illustrated Magazine. If Claudia “the Claw” Reiff is able to gain a victory over Awesome Kong, The Claw could make a strong case for ranking #1 for next years Pro Wrestling Illustrated Rankings. Gail Kim turning over the belt because of the terms for her future endevours? That’s got WWE written all over Battle Angels Capital Punishment HD 2008 Full Card!!! Posted October 24, 2008 Comments

This year’s contest will feature Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix, Divas Champion Michelle McCool, Brie Bella, Candice Michelle, Eve, Jillian, Katie Lea Burchill, Kelly Kelly, Layla, Lena Yada, Maria, Maryse, Natalya, Tiffany, Victoria and Mickie James. There’s no official title in WWE for best costume, but Mickie James will be incumbent champion of Halloween costumes, as her Indian princess outfit won her first place at last year’s Cyber Sunday. Jerry “The King” Lawler teased Diva costumes on this week’s RAW, claiming Candice Michelle will come as Marilyn Monroe, Maryse will be dressed as a French maid, Kelly Kelly will be dressed as a sailer, Jilliam Hall will be dressed as Bat Girl, Katie Lea will be decked out like a vampire and Tiffany will be dressed as a nun! Jerry Lawler also claimed that Victoria is planning to come as a banana! If Victoria sells ‘peanut butter jelly time’ on Cyber Sunday, she’s got our vote!

She will be part of the program Thursday when TNA Wrestling’s ”TNA iMPACT” leaves its home in Orlando, Fla., for a live show in Las Vegas. Even in high definition (which the show will be for the first time at 8 p.m. on Spike TV), viewers might have trouble realizing Brooks lacks muscle definition in her right arm. Quick Hits had the chance to chat with her backstage at the recent ”Bound for Glory IV” show in Hoffman Estates and was surprised to find out as an infant Brooks had Erb’s palsy, which affects the nerves in the arm. ”My mom exercised my arm every day till I was 2 and I was also in a sling that was attached over my head in my buggy,” she said. ”I was one out of six kids with this condition at the time, and the only one to benefit in a positive manner due to mom’s persistence, dedication and the fact that she exercised me every day.” Brooks plays sports left-handed and writes right-handed. ”I’ve been wrestling for nine years now, and if you are wondering, yes, it does affect me in the ring, both physically and mentally. ”We are in a very cosmetic business in which the focus is on looks, body and physicality. For someone such as myself, that is portrayed as a superstar, this is difficult. In my mind, I am just a girl with a disability and not perfect like we are perceived. ”Just like everyone else, I have overcome many obstacles in my life and career. This was my most challenging. However, I am now a pro wrestler living my dream.” Not bad for someone who cannot throw a right-handed punch or perform some other wrestling moves. ”I worked around these obstacles and now do things a bit unconventionally, yet still effectively. To this day I think about how lucky I am.”
